Create a booking

POST

/v1/bookings

Books a slot for an invitee and sends the confirmation email and calendar invite.

Creates a confirmed booking. The start time must be one of the slots returned by Get available slots; otherwise the request fails with 409.

Body parameters

Parameter	Type	Description
`event_type`	string, required	ID of the event type to book.
`start`	timestamp, required	Start time of the slot, in UTC.
`invitee.name`	string, required	Full name of the person booking.
`invitee.email`	string, required	Email address for the confirmation.
`invitee.time_zone`	string	IANA time zone used in emails, for example `Europe/Rome`. Defaults to the host's zone.
`answers`	object	Answers to the event type's booking questions, keyed by question ID.
`metadata`	object	Up to 20 key-value pairs for your own use. Not shown to the invitee.

Tip: Send an Idempotency-Key header so a retried request never creates two bookings.

Errors

Code	Status	When
`slot_unavailable`	409	The slot was taken or is outside the host's availability.
`event_type_inactive`	400	The event type is paused.
`invalid_email`	400	`invitee.email` isn't a valid address.
