How Meetlane checks for conflicts

Which events block your availability, how often calendars sync and how to make an event count as free.

When someone opens your booking page, Meetlane combines your working hours with the busy times in every connected calendar.

What counts as busy

An event blocks your availability when:

  • it's marked Busy in your calendar (the default for most events)

  • you accepted it or created it yourself

  • it falls inside your working hours

Events marked Free, all-day events and invitations you declined don't block bookings.

How often calendars sync

Google Calendar and Microsoft 365 notify Meetlane as soon as an event changes, usually within seconds. iCloud and CalDAV calendars are checked every 5 minutes.

Note: If a new event in your calendar doesn't block a slot right away, wait a few minutes and refresh the booking page. If it still shows, see Bookings show at the wrong time.

Make an all-day event block bookings

All-day events are ignored by default, because many people use them for reminders. To change this, go to Settings → Calendars → Conflict rules and turn on Treat all-day events as busy.
